McMillan Group developed the content and design to represent Kaiser Permanente and future health issues that were tied to medical technology. The colonnade at the entrance was an inviting gateway introducing the story line of four family members each with an interactive station describing their health condition and preventative messages for the guests to explore.
The unique solution to this exhibit was the variety of tactile as well as digital interactions interwoven with animated graphics, video and special effects, engaging the guests while delivering an informative message that specifically met Kaiser Permanente's objectives. Shown here is the display of “Jake” and ways to prevent colds and flu.
This was an interactive display simulating a cutaway of an MR machine with actual diagnostic imagery.
Guests learned both through games and exploratory scenarios, how to take better care of themselves. Here they looked through the lens of giant microscope and played a game to fight germs and viruses.
This Ultrasound interaction used a transducer interface to see real imagery as the guest moves it over a pregnant mannequin.
Kaiser Permanente sponsored the Future of Health exhibit at Disneyland in CA. As facilitators for a creative brainstorming session with a Kaiser Permanente team, McMillan Group developed the story line and design for interactive exhibits that represented technologies effecting lifestyles in the future including: basic health choices and nutrition, exercise, the battle against colds and flu, and also the prevention and therapy for activity injuries. McMillan Group was responsible for: exhibit curation, exhibit design, interactive creation and executive production.
