McMillan Group created curved shapes of perforated aluminum with intersecting layers that appear to peel away from the basic core, emulating the elements of Datascope's new Patient Monitoring product design and creating the dynamic feeling of motion of a circular center piece spinning out from the center.
McMillan Group was responsible for: exhibit, interior, graphic and lighting design of the Datascope exhibit.
The large curved shaped forms allowed the ease of access to products and demonstrations, emphasizing
one on one interactions.
McMillan Group created a unique visual "energy" using moire patterns formed from the offset perforated metal walls.
The simple elegant lines of the design were based on the Datascope award winning and user-friendly Patient Monitoring product design. McMillan Group built on that established design direction providing a unified form in the exhibit environment. The soft curves not only reflect the product shapes but added a welcoming feeling.
"They did a great job tying the attitude of our company into the look ... very fresh and hip but still worked for a conservative medical company...On both large scale and smaller projects their dedication and incredible design talent make the collaboration a very positive experience."
Nicholas Barker, VP Corporate Design, Datascope
Judges applauded the McMillan's use of space: "The booth structure embraces the space without filling it up. There's an implied volume. The exhibit seems larger than it really is."
