An Event Design for High Flying Honors
Way finding signage, in the venue that McMillan Group designed, directs the audience to the Collier Awards Ceremony ballroom site.
McMillan Group designed the stage, table treatments, lighting in addition to the AV presentation supporting the event speakers which included Jeff Pino, CEO of Sikorsky.
Before entering into the event venue, guests were greeted with the X2 Demonstrator aircraft on display. The lighting, props and background informational graphics provided a perfect place for photo ops and press interviews.
This shows X2 test pilot Kevin Bredenbeck being honored at the event by aviation giants Dick Rutan and Jonathan Gaffney, President and CEO of the National Aeronautic Association.
The mark for the 100th anniversary of the NAA and the Collier Awards, developed by McMillan Group, was the a centerpiece for the event.
All event graphics for way finding, video and print were created by McMillan Group.
The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) awarded Sikorsky the prestigious Robert J. Collier Trophy for the most outstanding achievement in aviation in 2010 for the Sikorsky X2 Technology Demonstrator helicopter. McMillan Group designed and produced the event, working with Sikorsky and NAA to provide presentation video, exterior helicopter display as well as the design of the lobby, way finding graphics, hospitality area, stage and ballroom.
